How we score a trading platform
Published weights, defined evidence standards and a fixed update cycle — applied identically to NordicFX and to every other platform we study.

Scoring criteria and weights
- Transparency and documentation — 25%. Is the operating entity named? Are the client agreement, risk warning and execution policy publicly downloadable before registration?
- Cost structure clarity — 20%. Are spreads, commissions, financing, inactivity and withdrawal charges published in one place, with the calculation method shown?
- Platform tooling and mobile parity — 20%. Order types, pre-trade risk fields, margin visibility and consistency between desktop and mobile.
- Educational depth — 15%. Does the platform explain risk honestly, or only demonstrate features?
- Support responsiveness — 10%. Contact channels, published hours and language coverage.
- Onboarding clarity — 10%. Whether verification steps, minimums and regional restrictions are stated before an account is opened.
Evidence standard
Every scored statement must trace to public material retrieved on a recorded date, or be marked as unverified. Marketing adjectives are never treated as evidence. Where a criterion cannot be assessed from public information, it is scored at the category median and flagged in the text rather than guessed upward.
Scale
Each criterion is scored from 1 to 5, where 3 represents the documented category norm, 4 means clearly better than the norm with evidence, and 5 is reserved for full, accessible pre-registration disclosure. The final figure is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal.
What we deliberately do not score
We do not score profitability, "reliability" as a sentiment, or user outcomes. Those depend on the trader's process and on market conditions, not on the platform. We also do not aggregate third-party review-site star ratings, which are trivially manipulated.
Update cycle
Platform pages are re-checked quarterly and after any publicly announced change of terms. The NordicFX review carries the date of its latest assessment; readers should always confirm current details at the source (nordic-fx.com) themselves.
Conflicts of interest
None to declare. See our editorial policy for the full independence statement.
